I am a native Texan, born and raised in the Houston area. I have worked professionally with actors and directors in Texas since 1982. In 2004, I began casting films and commercials. In recent years, I've served as casting director on such projects as Terrence Malick’s The Tree of Life (producer Sarah Green), Spike Jonze's Scenes from the Suburbs (producer Vince Landay), David Riker’s The Girl (producer Paul Mezey) and Steve Collins’ Gretchen (producers Jay Van Hoy, Lars Knudsen and Anish Savjani). I also work with many central Texas production companies casting commercials and industrials.

Prior to beginning a career in casting, I worked professionally as a theater director and producer for 15 years, directing over 50 plays and producing many more. Specializing in new play development, I worked at the Empty Space Theatre (Seattle), the Playwrights’ Center (Minneapolis), the Sundance Theatre Lab (Utah), the Alley Theatre (Houston), the Guthrie Theatre (Minneapolis), the Dallas Theatre Center and Dallas Shakespeare Festival. For ten years I ran the critically acclaimed Austin theatre, Frontera Productions and produced the annual fringe performance festival, FronteraFest.

I have directed two short films, Attack of the Bride Monster (2005) and Adventure Story (2003) which have screened at over 60 festivals internationally including The Hamptons Int’l Film Festival, Palm Springs Int’l Short Film Festival, The Provincetown Film Festival and the Seoul Int’l Woman’s Film Festival.

I taught acting and directing at St. Edward’s University (Austin) and the University of Texas. I hold an MFA in Directing from Boston University School for the Arts and a BA in Theater from Texas A&M University.
